Find of the Day - Nailhead Chest

I've had my eye on this fabulous chest for the last couple of years.  It is oh so yummy . . .  I will always and forever be a sucker for nailheads.

But at $1,724.00 for a such a trendy piece, it's difficult to justify.  Like most pieces, if you wait long enough you will begin to see knock offs.  Spotted this while sourcing bedside tables for a client . . .

Is it exactly the same?  No.  But neither is the price - $349.95.  It is also the perfect size for bedside tables and has the linen upholstered texture that adds so much to a space.  I think they have potential.  What do you think?   Happy soggy Tuesday! M.

Detail of the Moment - Upholstery Tacks

Furniture Tacks

I'm still in love with nailhead trim.  Honestly, I'm not sure I'll ever tire of it.  But lately, I've noticed furniture tacks on furnishings.  Some reupholsters differ on what these are actually called (some would argue they are all considered nail heads) but the tacks tend to be a bit smaller than a traditional nailhead; and they are spaced farther apart to give you a very French look.

Here is a great DIY from Sherry at Design Indulgence on making your own bench using tacks.  I think it's a fabulous look.

Not sure if it's the tack or the spacing that I love - maybe the combination.

Happy Thursday!!! M.

Be Still My Heart

I would love for the headboard in my master bedroom to meet a pair of these.

This divine yumminess is part of Bernhardt Interiors new collection.
Talk about some eye candy.
